Hello Fellow Gamers!
The time has come to make Gen Con 2026 Games on Demand a reality! The organizing committee is looking for initial commitments from those who plan to volunteer for hosting, GM-ing, and even organizing. Please fill out this survey by June 18th to let us know how you want to pitch in and roughly how many hours you can commit.
As a reminder, Gen Con takes place July 30 – August 2 in Indianapolis this year.
When it comes time to fill out the schedules and menus, we’ll send follow-up surveys to find out when you’re available to volunteer and (for those running games) which RPGs you want to bring to the table.
Wait, what exactly is Games on Demand?
Each year at Gen Con, we host an event where con-goers can show up whenever they have a free slot in their schedule to dive into awesome indie and small-press tabletop RPGs. This is an opportunity to bring a game you love to a wider audience and for gamers at Gen Con to explore games outside their usual play culture.
At Games on Demand, we strive to be inclusive, queer-friendly, and welcoming to gamers of all backgrounds and abilities. We expect our volunteers to help us champion this goal.
We absolutely love welcoming new volunteers! If you support our goals, but haven’t volunteered before, we would love to help you get started and will support you along the way. Also, if you know anyone who might be able to help, please encourage them to join the crew as well.
Benefits of Volunteering
While Games on Demand is built on mutualism and the joy of sharing your favorite indie games, we do offer some benefits:
- Volunteering for enough hours at the show (either at the front desk, or running games) will net you a free badge (or a badge refund if you’ve already purchased one).
- Need a place to crash? Those who can volunteer for a substantial amount of time may be able to qualify for our limited shared hotel space.
