Last call for GMs at U-Con Gaming Convention Games on Demand track.
Games On Demand gives you the opportunity to drop by and play (or run!) new and interesting games throughout the show. The event is organized and run by friendly volunteers, and serves as a showcase for the most exciting small press tabletop games available.
Only 1 week remains to get on the schedule. Join us now. Hotel rooms are also still available in the room block for the con.
If you’re a GM or game designer interested in attending U-Con in Ann Arbor, Michigan, consider volunteering for the new Games On Demand room! Come with a prepared adventure, ready to run with a moment’s notice for a group of interested players. Games On Demand is a natural fit for improvisation-heavy games like Fate, Apocalypse World, Fiasco, 7th Sea, and more!
Volunteer to run 6 hours or more of Games On Demand content, and receive access to U-Con via a Game Master’s Badge. If you’re interested in signing up, you can register using the two-step process linked below:
DragonCon is almost upon us so it is time to get a organized. If you are unfamiliar with what Games on Demand, or someone has forwarded this to you, GoD is almost a mini-con within the con. We are a group of volunteers that offer to run games with an emphasis on serving people new to the hobby or experienced gamers wanting to try out new or small press games.
We have two forms for volunteers to fill out and get started. The Scheduling Form everyone needs to fill out so I can make sure we have a steady supply of volunteers all day. The second form only needs to be filled out by people planning to run games.
Let me know if you are interested but haven’t received an email from Drew Owen and we’ll get you the links. Looking forward to having some fun down south!
In just two days, starting at 10am on Thursday, the Games on Demand crew will be running a huge selection of their favorite games! If you’ll be at Gen Con, come join us in the Marriott Downtown Hotel, Ballroom 6 on the second floor!
Come try a variety of short, live-action games that blend LARP & tabletop gaming to produce amazing stories with a small group. Our diverse GMs will introduce you to some of the great freeform live-action games developed over the years around the world. These games aren’t your traditional boffer larp, but instead blend larp and tabletop gaming, allowing you to physically embody your character and play out a story with a small group.
Scenarios will be chosen by players at the beginning of the session. Nothing required but a sense of adventure!
Our peak slots were Saturday afternoon (86!), Thursday night (78), and Saturday night (71). Almost all of our scheduled events made at least the minimum number of players. In addition, no player wound up being turned away due to lack of GMs and games.
